Why? Because starting this fall, Jason will be a PhD student in Economics at the University of Utah! He received his acceptance on Monday night, and even though he missed the deadline by a month, he was still able to get funding i.e. we don't have to pay for tuition! He will be working as a TA for lower division economics courses and will receive a small stipend. He applied for the program less than 2 weeks ago, so it was amazing to hear back so soon. Now we can know what to expect and how to prepare for it. The worst part will be that I won't see my husband very much while he is in school, but the rewards will definately be worth it when he is finished (a recession proof job!).
